The genoa sleeve, jib sock or headsail cover is made to be hoisted over the top of your furled headsail to protect it from harmful UV, wind and water. The sleeve lines keep the bag snug around the sail. Your genoa will fill easier in light air thanks to the less weight on the leech and foot.
